HAMILTON PLAYING ON BROADWAY AND POSSIBLY NOW MAKING GUEST APPEARANCES IN SIERRA VISTA ARIZONA

In the Tradition of Hamilton, Mr. Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, and other Founders of Our Republic, I have submitted the following 100 word limericks to the local newspaper “Anonymously”.  You see my daughter loves Hamilton the musical, but her Father loves Hamilton and the other Founders’ Principles.  I submitted these two today to the “On Your Mind” section to the newspaper.  We shall see if my efforts were considered worthy in their eyes.

There reason for the literary effort of this novice was to document that doing the same thing is not working.  Doing the same thing over and over again, is beyond ignorance, beyond stupidity, it is pure lunacy.

A resolution is pending in the Sierra Vista, AZ City Council to mandate, that is require future development to install and create bicycle parking at a desired standard to meet the minimum requirements to obtain an award from a special interest group.  The odd part is that the proposal was initiated by an organization that represents County interests.  The group I believe is the Cochise County Bicycle Advocates.  There name is not required nor important to establish a Principled stance on this issue.  One, it involves private property rights, therefore it must favor the individual no matter one person or business over any government regulation that is currently considered the standard, this standard is currently known as City Code.  There is no reason for any Government to further dictate to anyone, person or business what it must do on their own Private Property.

What the Council fails to communicate is this.  Where do mandates on personal property stop?  Is my personal and private property not my own to do as I want with the Liberties we are all endowed with by our Creator?  As long as there are within current city code that is.  This is not about bike racks, its about regulation, if this were about private property rights pertaining to the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution we would not be having this discussion.  So why must we be required to do to our own private property what is dictated from upon high from our Elected Representatives and our Civil Servants?  Why?

Here are the limericks that I submitted.  I have three more for release in the next day or so as well.

One wheel, two wheels, three wheels weeee!

Four wheels stay away of all of us three

You are the many and we are the few

It’s do as we say not do as we do

If not for the Council no one would care

Do not worry, nothing to see there

Government overreach in OUR own town?

They demand you plant a bike rack into YOUR ground!

We are safe, fortunate ones.

But once this starts it can’t be undone

Government grows – , – businesses leave,-,

City Council’s creating its utopian vision

Council Dictates to all in its next revision

Louder Doneright

Pedals and sprockets with handle bar grips

Something is going on and its part of THEIR script

Special Interests come in and sell a load to our Rulers

If you do this Sierra Vista will be oh so much cooler

Look at the Cove and the Mall and everything built

They have spent all the money and now they are out

If the bike racks don’t pass the Council will pout

Losing out on tax dollars their choices are few

Its a matter of time until they are after you

Why are we surprised? It’s not new.
